Ride the wave
Wavecrest Behavioral strives to provide an easily understandable approach to difficult and complex mental health and addiction issues.
About us
At Wavecrest Behavioral Health, we believe real healing happens where expert care meets genuine connection. Everyone deserves a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and whole. We don’t see mental health or addiction struggles as weaknesses—they’re signs of the strength it takes to face life’s harder moments. Our role is to support that strength, help people work through what’s holding them back, and build confidence in their ability to move forward. With a focus on practical, evidence-based care and honest support, we’re here to help people feel better and find a clearer path ahead.
We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals can explore their emotions, confront challenges, and begin their journey of self-discovery. Our compassionate team is here to guide and support you every step of the way, helping you build the tools for lasting emotional well-being, personal growth, and long-term recovery.

Our programs
Partial hospitalization program
A partial hospitalization program provides full-day care for people facing substance use, mental health conditions, or both. PHP is less intensive than inpatient rehab but more structured than outpatient therapy. It is a strong fit for individuals who need daily support but can safely return home at night. This level of care helps build momentum and routine in recovery.
Intensive outpatient program
An intensive outpatient program offers several hours of treatment on multiple days each week. It is more flexible than PHP and works well for those stepping down from inpatient care or managing recovery alongside work or school. IOP includes therapy, group sessions, and ongoing support to help maintain progress.
Standard outpatient treatment
Standard outpatient treatment involves attending therapy once or twice a week while continuing to live at home. This level of care is best for those with mild symptoms or as follow-up after higher levels of treatment. It offers a space to process challenges, stay accountable, and receive support during long-term recovery.
Our therapeutic methods
Each person’s treatment plan is built around their unique needs. We focus on treating the whole person addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual parts because recovery touches every part of life. Clients take part in a mix of proven therapies, including:

Individual therapy
One-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist help clients explore personal challenges, set goals, and develop coping strategies in a private, supportive setting.
Group therapy
Clients connect with others who are facing similar struggles. Guided by a therapist, group sessions build trust, encourage open conversation, and promote shared healing.
Family therapy
Addiction and mental health conditions affect more than just the individual. Family counseling brings loved ones into the process to improve communication, rebuild trust, and support long-term healing.
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients recognize negative thought patterns and behaviors, then learn practical tools to shift them. It’s a structured approach often used for addiction, anxiety, and depression.
Dialectical behavior therapy
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) teaches skills like emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. It’s especially helpful for people dealing with intense emotions or self-destructive behaviors.
Medical interventions
Some clients benefit from medications to ease withdrawal, cravings, or treat co-occurring conditions. These interventions are monitored by professionals to ensure effectiveness as part of a larger treatment plan.
